IMATS LA Was Hot!
18th Jan 2018
And, we're not talking temperature! This show brought the heat with incredible artists and makeup enthusiasts. We were excited to have IMATS' honorary guest, makeup legend Dick Page, debut our soon to be released L.I.P Cream black shade called Bad Girl, as well as demo our 1927 Liquid Vinyl Makeup. He joked with the audience about using about about half the bottle of 1927 because it is so fun to apply.
"It keeps a little shine, which is nice," said Page. "So even if you're just using it as a regular liner, it's nice to have a little bit of gloss to it."
Pro Night attendees also got to watch the incredible Nix Herrera work his magic with Mehron's Gold Metallic Powder and Black Paradise Makeup AQ.
"The stars aligned!" posted Herrera on Instagram. "I finally had the opportunity to work with @mehronmakeup to paint with the black and gold technique."
For this look he pulled inspiration from Asian and Art Deco. "The feel went more Samurai warrior. The black makeup gives the gold the highest contrast," said Herrera. "The technique is simple and it's more of a performance piece. This whole work of art happens in under an hour. Speed painting if you will."
We also spotted the fabulously talented Mimi Choi aka @mimles creating her Space Cheetah at the Make-Up Artist Magazine booth with a little help of Paradise Makeup AQ. We are such a fan of her artistry!
It was also great to meet the WWE Glam Squad team, makeup director Leslie Homan aka @lesliemakeupmaven and @makemeblush_mua

And to catch up with one of our favorite Mehron Girls - Jordan Hanz. We look forward to future collaboration with this amazing artist.

And we loved taking a trip down memory lane with Mike Marino. This Special FX wonder's first job in the cosmetics industry was with Mehron! He has gone on to make quite a name for himself. His company's credits include such films as Black Swan, Birdman, The Girl on the Train and a long list of celebrities, including Heidi Klum, Ryan Gosling and Martin Scorsese. Mike worked with Mehron to create the green for Shrek the Musical.Wondering what products were trending at the show? Well, our booth best sellers included the new 1927 Liquid Vinyl Makeup and our 6 Shade Metallic Powder & Mixing Liquid Bundle - both of which sold out - along with Paradise Makeup AQ.

While in LA we also got to work on a secret photo shoot with makeup artist Paloma Romo and photographer Jackie Gallardo. We can't wait to share the images soon!
