Paloma Romo Shares Her 1927 Liquid Vinyl Makeup Application Techniques
4th Dec 2017
Mehron recently launched 1927 - a homage to the House of Mehron established in 1927. This jet black, liquid vinyl makeup delivers an intense, glossy shine that lasts. The water and smudge-resistant formula glides on, dries quickly, and stays in place all day. And the included a two-piece liner brush is ideal for creating subtle definition along the upper or lower lash line, a graphic cat's eye, or a bold design on the face and/or body. Makeup artist Paloma Romo has been using 1927 on models for her editorial shoots and fashion week. So, we caught up with Romo to get her thoughts on the product and its application.
"We used 1927 on the Gucci Campaign 2017, and it was amazing!" says Romo. "Everyone fell in love with it. It's easy to use and SO glossy, which makes it perfect for editorial work."
Romo utilizes the included brush for most applications. "The applicator that comes with 1927 is amazing," says Romo. "But don't be afraid to expand beyond that brush to create a desired look. I also use 1927 with thicker applicators for a more dramatic look."
According to Romo, the key to optimal application is dry time. To prevent creasing and movement, she advises allowing 1927 to dry completely before opening your eyes. "The most important part to applying 1927 is allowing it to completely dry once it is applied."
1927 Liquid Vinyl Makeup is Vegan, Cruelty-Free and Paraben-Free. It is made in the USA with high quality ingredients, including the beneficial properties of Vitamin E. The limited edition retro packaging is only available for a short time.
