Demonic Style

When we saw this look from Cervena Fox, we knew we just had to share it. For the London model and performance artist, it was the perfect makeup for her burlesque show in which she performs as a full red demon. We think it will also be fabulous for Halloween - which will be here before you know it! So, we caught up with Cervena to learn more about what inspires her avant garde looks and get the scoop on how to re-create her demonic style.

Mehron: What was the inspiration for this “demonic” makeup?

Cervena: The inspiration came from when Angelika [Art] sent me the horns. I just fell so in love with them. I had the vision of creating this make up look and contacted Keely [Weis] straight away to shoot it. I also do a burlesque show where I perform as a full red demon, so adding the black arms/hands and black wig just made it more exciting for me to do something different! The color scheme is always black and red for me, as I have been a redhead and black-haired gal for so long, it just speaks to me, my favorite colors. So even though I am dressed very demonic, I am still very much me in this image! It's one of my favorite images from 2017.

Mehron: You definitely have your own style. What inspires your looks?

Cervena: I feel very inspired by people around me creating amazing clothing/accessories that I can then create a look with. Sometimes they'll have an idea and sometimes I will. We will mix it together and boom - photos like this are created! I really love doing that as we always create something that blows our minds! I sometimes incorporate my tattoos into a look and sometimes take them away. They have never been in my way, especially with the tattoo corrector pallet from Mehron!

Cervena: I love all the pigments and how, even though I'm covering my entire face with makeup, it feels so silky smooth and not cakey! I use Mehron on a daily basis and also on the party nights, it works both ways for me!

Mehron: What are some of your favorite Mehron products?

Cervena: I'm absolutely in love with the KOHL E.Y.E Liner Pencil, it stays on ALL day and I never need to reapply for the evening! I also love using the lipsticks for photoshoots as they don't stain or bleed on my lips, they are so bright and bold, but easy to change up!

Mehron: Is Mehron makeup versatile enough for use for your beauty and performance looks?

Cervena: The great thing about Mehron products is for someone who is super oily in areas it doesn't cause the makeup to come off or separate. This includes both day oils and also sweat from dancing on stage under all the crazy lights! Another thing about the Mehron products I've used, is that the ingredients complement each other and I haven't found one product that doesn't like the next, it all works together very nicely!

Mehron: What does it mean to you to be a Mehron Girl?

Cervena: Beyond stoked to be one! I've always admired the brand and want to create more artistic looks. I've been an artist all my life so transferring it onto a makeup lifestyle for the human face is very interesting and exciting! So I'm very happy to be spending the journey with Mehron!
